Fast autocomplete: answers from the edge, not your database
· AKHBaig
Your database is never in the path
Autocomplete fires on nearly every keystroke. Running that against a live database makes it slow and expensive. AutoSugges prepares your list when you publish it, so queries are answered from the published version.
Sensible defaults
- Queries start at 2 characters, never 1.
- The client waits 150 ms after the last keystroke before asking.
- Each query returns up to 10 suggestions.
These defaults are delivered with your list’s settings, and a list owner can adjust them. The client reads them for you, so you do not hard-code anything.
